A collection of more than a thousand islands in the Indian Ocean, the Maldives is known for its sublime beaches that stretch as far as beyond the eye sight, crystal clear emerald waters and of course those magnificent exclusive overwater bungalows. The archipelago creates a pleasing sanctuary with all these features, where guests can snorkel, scuba dive, swim and enjoy some unforgettable sunsets. As one of the most geographically scattered countries in the world, the white sand beaches of the Maldives are actually made of coral. These coral beaches are very rare indeed, and constitute only 5% of the world’s beaches. Due to its geographical location near the equator, the Maldives experiences warmer temperatures throughout the year, with the two seasons affecting the rainy season, with the main difference being one wet and the other dry.
